Abstract: One of the criticisms of SAFe by the Agile community is that it is ‘too big or too prescriptive’. However, SAFe does have an MVP. Scott, a SAFe SPCT and transformation coach, will talk about SAFe engagements he’s worked on for the past 4 years and the key Lean-Agile habits/practices needed to be SAFe.
Scott has more than 30 years of IT organizational leadership experience in large-scale global software development delivery, portfolio and IT executive management. As a seasoned agile professional he trains, coaches and mentors teams in Agile Scrum and Scaled Agile practices; helps portfolio and executive management teams plan and execute agile transformations, adoption and integration with traditional process; building COE/COPs; and assists LOBs in agile product ownership, road map planning and value stream analysis. Scott has a deep expertise in recovering large failing projects and aligning teams to Lean business value delivery, including SAFe SPCT4 training experience with numerous large-scale portfolio & value stream Agile transformations.
